Entitled "Subsidies of the Rich and Famous," Coburn outlines billions for millionaires: $74 million in unemployment checks, $316 million in farm subsidies, $9 billion in retirement checks and more. Overall,
A report came out by Senator Tom Coburn from OK which says millionaires have received $9.5 billion in government benefits since 2003, and borrowed $16 million in government-backed education loans for college.
Some of the highlights of the report were:
NBA star Scottie Pippen , billionaire Ted Turner and Bruce Springsteen (for leasing property to an organic farmer) have collected taxpayer-funded farm subsidies.
Rock Star Jon Bon Jovi paid only $100 in property taxes last year on his extensive NJ real estate holdings because he "raises bees" on it; I raise kids and goldfish and live in a house not even 1/4 the size of this property, why am I paying thousands more in taxes a quarter?
Quincy Jones got a $25,000 award from the taxpayer-funded National Endowment for the Arts for his contribution to music.Really? What about all the suffering Music programs at schools around the country, apparently they aren't contribution enough?
I have to say call me crazy but there is something terribly wrong with this report....I think the protestors should really be Occuping Hollywood.

What is wrong with our government and the people running it? This is a serious problem. I mean it seems to me the middle class are the people who are paying everything. Just seems interesting
This stuff you find is always so interesting!!
Have you read any of Ann Coulter's books? My husband loves them!
You would too!
We can borrow you our books, he has a couple I think....I'll ask and send them to you if he still has them!
