I've been a cookie making machine. Here are some of the neat treats we made this week. Gigi helped a ton with them :) Lo jumped in back and forth but she was a steady force getting all the treats done.

It's the time of year I bring out the big boy coffee cup. I love this cup and yes I actually fill it with coffee. Seems this time of year sleep becomes a luxury and so this little number was God sent. Notice the size next to my regular coffee cup?-3-
Parents were invited to Lo's school to help out make gingerbread houses. It was so much fun and I loved the look on his face when he saw me walk in through the door. I have to give credit to the teachers for being so organized and having everything set up so nicely as well as having hot chocolate and water for washing down all the candy we were "decorating"with.lol

The hub and I went out the other day and officially finished Christmas shopping and we even snuck in a date out to dinner. We decided when the kids were little to only give them 3 gifts a piece. With the over-saturation of Christmas we want to keep it as simple as possible. We will keep the idea of Santa Claus because it's a magical belief and with all the negativity in the world today, kids need this little bit of magic. We do emphasize the birth of Jesus and do have a birthday cake for him on Christmas day. -5-
If you didn't get a chance to do so check out my Kefir Making skills from yesterday. This is the time of year when everyone starts coming down with colds and their immunity starts to suffer. Kefir is great at helping with your immunity :)

Talking about Santa, The munchkins got to visit him yesterday. The Bummy decided she wasn't having it and wouldn't even take a picture with him but lo and gigi did a good job of talking Santa's ear off. I just wish they would both take a decent picture. If one was looking the other one wasn't or the old Cheese while looking up...argh! I swear I'm keeping this and showing it to their future spouses.lol -7-
Finally here is one of my favorite Santa Claus pictures. My mother in law has the statue and we have a tiny one with the book that has the story on it. If you ever get a chance to see it or read it I highly suggest it....so sweet!
