Three Kings Parade...a true cultural experience!

Parades are always a fun time, parades in Miami are a true cultural experience. Miami,Fl is a complete salad bowl of ethnicity. Everywhere you turn you find an adventure for all your senses. Going to the three kings parade was of course no difference. The Celebration of the Three kings parade is a huge event in Miami and this year after many, many, many years I got to enjoy the 43rd Annual event! The Three Kings celebration is a big part of the Hispanic culture and because of the big Hispanic population in Miami this event is just as big! Kids enjoy seeing the Three Kings who days before brought them gifts. Adults enjoy the entertainment, music and beauty of the event. Here are some of the sights we saw, however these pictures don't truly capture the experience of the event. I also took a million pictures but figured you didn't want to be here forever so I posted my favorites.

Enjoy!
Me and 4.0 waiting for the parade to start. Thank God for my Seven Sling!
"El Manicero" or the Peanut salesman..selling peanuts at any event wrapped in white paper.

Two of my loves waiting for the parade to start

Bummie and Dora
One of the colorful characters you'll see roaming 8th street on a given day

Carts full of fun ready to sell!

Enjoying some granisado (crushed ice with syrup..watery cousin of the snowcone)

When will it begin?

Miami's finest leading the way

The Guests of honor

Apparently the camels (like Nascar) were also sponsored...I wonder how their cell phone service was through the desert)

If it's Goya it has to be good!

Grand Marshals of the event Miami Heats :Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh

Cirque DU Soleil

The Parade was too much fun for Bummie

It looks like you had so much fun and it definitely wore the kiddos out, which is never a bad thing :)
