The kids got to go to build a bear for the first time and it was such a blast! Even the bummster got to participate and enjoy in the fun. It's a little pricey but was a lot less than what I thought it would be and the kids had a lot of fun. Check out some of the fun out:Bummie walking away with her prized bear. |

Happy Epiphany or as they call it in Latin Countries "La Fiesta de Los 3 Reyes Magos". It's funny living somewhere where this feast isn't really celebrated. Growing up in Miami Florida they even had a parade to Celebrate their arrival. The kids's all set out carrots and water for the camels and were very excited to see what the 3 Wise men brought them. It's so fun incorporating traditions into our family. We ordered the Kings Cake or "Rosca de Reyes" and will be celebrating later on today :)-3-
There is a great Catholic bookstore about 30 minutes from my house. It specializes in more traditional Catholic Literature focusing in on the writings of the saints, novenas,etc.. I went out there with my parents yesterday and bought a treasury of books,as well as resources for the kids. Since my family and I attend the Latin Rite Mass we are always looking for ways in which to have the kids interact and follow the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. I was able to get these neat little missals for them to use. Since Lo loves to do everything dad does I think he will really enjoy using this missal. Let's see how Princess Gigi does with this as well.
For Me I got some good books on the Life of the Blessed Mother and a Holy Hour with the Blessed Mother.Hopefully I can actually sit down and read them. At least the initial efforts there right? -4-
We also got Princess Gigi a little Chapel Veil since we attend the Latin Mass I figured it was as good a time as any to get her started wearing it. Let's see how long it lasts but she sure looks cute!-5-
I love Starbuck unfortunatly I don't have the money to be getting it all the time. One of my favorite drinks is their Caramel Apple Cider. So with a little research and trial and error I figured out how to make it at home for a lot less than what you would spend at Starbucks :) So for you fans out there:
You need: cinnamon syrup, a couple of squirts
Apple juice
whipped cream
caramel syrup drizzled on top
Mix the Cinnamon syrup into warmed apple juice. Top with whipped cream drizzle caramel syrup and enjoy!

With the new year started I have decided not to focus in on any New years resolutions because as usual I won't go through with them. I will only make one effort and that is to get a little more organized. It seems that organization is my downfall and with three kids as much as I try it seems I can never get a 100% organized. So I will make it my 'goal' more than resolution to get things a little less chaotic. We'll see...

I am sure this has circulated its way through the web but if you haven't had a chance to see this, check out
Ben Breedlove's last messsage. He is a teen who died of heart problems on Christmas day. This really touched me and i'm sure anyone who watches this will be touched as well.
Hope you all have a wonderful and blessed weekend and week!!

Oh, how nice it is to meet another family who attends the Traditional Latin Rite of the Mass. :-) I'll be following your blog.
Your daughter is so adorable in her veil! :) What a cutie!
Also, I'm definitely going to be trying that Starbucks recipe out. Yum!
i don't hit up $tarbux too often these days (i used to camp there for an hour or so to check email last year) and drinkwise, i'm an iced chai kind of girl. i know there's probably an easier way to make it but i haven't gotten that far yet.
