Making Green Carpet & Rug Cleaning Choices

*Although I received compensation for this post, All opinions are 100% mine.

Children and Carpets can be one of the most tumultuous mixtures out there. Between coming in and out of the house, spills from snacks, or just plain wear and tear both can have issues living in harmony.
In the past I’ve always made it a point to make the kids (actually everyone) remove their shoes before coming into the house. It helps keep the carpets in better condition and everything cleaner. However, there are times no matter what I do things get dirty and only an expert rug cleaner can come in to help make the carpet look good again. I try to keep everything in our house organic and natural so when looking for someone who is going to clean the carpet I go out of my way to look for someone that will provide green or organic carpet and rug cleaning. There are many ways one can find such a provider, either through word of mouth or in the phone book.
Either way the options are limitless. Many companies offer green or organic carpet and rug cleanings you just have to ask them. Having carpets can be hard work and choosing products that fit your green lifestyle can be easier than you think.

I am lucky that most of my upstairs is linoleum, we only have carpet in the bedrooms. Here in Canada everyone takes off their shoes inside, it is very rude to keep them on.
